At Armoured Mobility, we do not compromise on quality and will continue to lead the industry locally in terms of protection specifications, lightweight armour, and finishing standards. We armour around 250 vehicles per annum for local and international clients. With the demand for bullet-resistant vehicles rapidly increasing, our facility will soon be able to build 500 vehicles annually.
We continually innovate our production processes to serve our customers in the most efficient way possible. While we offer the best turn-around time, we will not compromise on quality. So, while you wait for your Armoured vehicle, we do have rental options for you to consider in the meantime.
Irrespective of whether you choose to source a car from our range or choose to armour your personal vehicle, the process remains the same:
Once these steps are completed and finalized, the vehicle will go into preparation, armouring and then finalization.
With Level B6 armour, you will have protection from just about any weapon like AK47s, R1 assault rifles and sniper rifles. This level of protection will allow you to travel protected into hostile territories. Our Level B6 adds approximately 350 kg of additional weight because of the premium lightweight armouring materials we use. This additional weight still remains under the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), leaving no need to replace any other mechanical components. The turnaround time for a Level B6 build takes on average around six-eight weeks.
With Level B4 armour, you will have protection from firearms such as the .44 magnums, .357 magnums, and 9-millimetre. This level of armour is sufficient to protect you from hijackings, a smash and grab attempt, as well as from brick/rock throwing. The glass used also provides protection against fragmentation. Level B4 adds approximately 110-140 kg of additional weight because of the premium lightweight armouring materials we use. This additional weight still remains under the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and has a very minimal effect on acceleration, handling and performance, leaving no need to change the suspension or brakes. The turnaround time for a Level B4 build takes on average around four-six weeks.

It’s the uncompromising goal of Armoured Mobility to convert our vehicles using the lightest possible methods while assuring the most protective structure outcome no matter what the client’s purpose is.
We make use of premium certified ballistic opaque materials throughout our Armoured vehicles. Our continuous in-house research and ballistic testing of materials ensure we are always offering the best protection to our clients who may come under an extreme line of fire.
KEVLAR
Kevlar is an organic lightweight fibre that delivers high tensile strength, durability and improved protection. This fibre is ultra-malleable and can be moulded seamlessly into every corner of the vehicle and when attached to ballistic steel or ceramic, it achieves a higher level of protection.
DYNEEMA
Dyneema is a lightweight composite ballistic material that is known to have one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios of any material worldwide. It is paired with other armour solutions to maintain the highest levels of protection.
BALLISTIC STEEL
Ballistic steel, or armour steel, is one of the most commonly used materials when armouring vehicles. This steel provides protection from incoming projectiles. We make use of certified lightweight ballistic steel, in conjunction with other composite ballistic material, to achieve some of the lightest armoured vehicles built.
BALLISTIC CERAMICS
Other materials used in vehicle armouring include Aluminium Carbide, Silicon Carbide and Boron Carbide which are all substantially lighter than steel and preferred for certain applications.
BALLISTIC GLASS
Ballistic / Bullet-resistant glass is one of the essential materials used in armouring. Shooters and other street criminals usually aim for the windows because of their ease of accessibility. Hence, ballistic glass is used all around the vehicle. Ballistic glass is made up of optically advanced and highly resistant materials that will stop most bullets.
Much like the ballistic levels available for body armours, vehicle armour must be measured in the same way. These measurements or protection levels are meant to indicate their ability to resist bullets piercing through the vehicle.
While status does play a part in the type of vehicle you would choose to armour, a vehicle’s Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) plays an even bigger role. At Armoured Mobility, we armour our vehicles with the latest composite light-weight armour solutions, which is becoming increasingly popular in the industry, to not exceed the manufacturers GVWR for that specific vehicle. In this way, Armoured Mobility can maintain the vehicle’s standard ride, handling, and performance characteristics as much as possible and provide the highest level of protection.
Furthermore, because the weight is kept under the GVWR, there is no need to make any changes to the power, suspension, or brakes. Mechanically, the vehicle remains in the same form it left the factory. Cosmetically, we try and provide the closest finish to the OEM manufacturer because we understand that these are still luxury vehicles, and the craftmanship should have the same look and feel after armouring. We believe there shouldn’t be any compromise on comfort or quality for safety.
