As the new flagship model in the Fortuner line-up, this model is equipped with all the latest features in tech and cosmetic parts. An Armoured Fortuner provides exemplary driving comfort while providing supreme protection.

ENGINE

Powering the new Fortuner is an updated 2.8-litre (high-efficiency) turbodiesel engine that’s been specially tuned for both economy and power. With the upgraded high-efficiency turbocharger, it now pushes out maximum power of 150 kW between 3 000 – 3 400 rpm and maximum torque of 500 Nm between 1 600 – 2 800 rpm for maximum drivability across a wider spread of revs. The engine is paired exclusively to a six-speed automatic paddle-shift transmission.

INTERIOR

New cabin materials have made their way into this model and there’s new decorative stitching on the dashboard. The Fortuner has a comfortable interior with an ergonomic layout. The Fortuner VX has an electrochromatic rearview mirror with an auto-dimming function to reduce glare during night-time driving.

INFOTAINMENT

This model features an 8.8-inch touch screen unit that has Bluetooth and USB compatibility. The screen also doubles as the display monitor for the vehicle’s reverse camera. Exclusive to the Fortuner VX is the high-quality JBL sound system with 11 speakers. The multimedia system is linkable to smart devices through the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.

SAFETY

The Fortuner VX is fitted with Toyota’s world-class Safety Sense package (TSS), which includes systems such as the Pre-Crash System (Brake Synchronised), Lane Keeping Assist and Adaptive High-Speed Cruise Control. The VX also features a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), and a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) to enhance driving safety. Standard safety also includes airbags for the driver, front passenger, side, curtain and the driver-knee.
